Tonbridge Blog just got juicier...

Come on then let's spice up TonbridgeBlog a bit. Post your local gossip below. The juicier the rumours/stories are the better. Let's stoop to the lowest level possible. Yes that ought to get the interest levels up a notch or two. Know anything about a well known person in the town? Has anyone been up to something they shouldn't. Is the Mayor having an affair? Does John Bartram of Allsorts, have a secret stash of Gollywog dolls in his basement? Do the traffic wardens enjoy playing fetishist games in the Castle dungeon home?! There are bound to be some unpopular neighbours you can rat on out there! Here's one to start the ball rolling as it were: Pampas Grass. What does this innocent looking plant mean when displayed in a front garden? Post anonymously if you prefer....

The Station House (one of many ruined by the hunger striking oirish landlord) is to become a Harvester. ;/

Station House is definitely not becoming a Harvester, hardly sufficient parking I feel. :-) It is however in new hands and will be reopening as “Mojos” early may! Lets hope they keep out some of the less well heeled clientele it used to attract.

It's more than a rumour and a distinct possibility. The former Railway Bell, in Priory Road is being converted into a mosque! Don't thinh that it won't happen, just remember the fate of the Roebuck in Camden Road, Tunbridge Wells!

yes i heard the same rumor as well that the railway bell is to be converted to a mosque. such a shame.

The "Ragheads" will love that; all our pubs being converted into their nasty alcohol-free mosques!

Definitely NOT the place to go for a bacon sandwich!

Excellent. Sainsbury's and any inappropriate tower block built nearby, may be destroyed by stray missiles launched in the resultant holy war between the nutters in the river centre and the nutters in the Railway Bell. Will Tonbridge be twinned with Gaza?

Ah I see we have a bit of a sourcey commenter on our hands. I could delete the comments but then it is a free country and I did say that we should spice things up a bit. I think this anonymous person should have a handle maybe Tonbridgewickedwhispers or something along those lines. Any other suggestions?

That is rather cheeky 'Anonymous' but it is a free country - and that is great.
Rumours are that Warders Medical Centre are going to open up a business to dispense prescriptions from 7 am to midnight.
Now that sounds fine but in reality the poor residents of that area are going to have to put up with a lot of extra traffic.
Why are they proposing this. A nice big fat profit probably.
Poor old Clarke and Coleman and Gosranis etc will be out of a lot of business. Maybe even Clarke and Colemans will have to close down.
Is it correct to bring in extra traffic to the conservation area?
Why can not an emergency Pharmacy be somewhere that is already open such as the Cottage Hospital with the on call doctors insitu.
What about light pollution in the area.
Where does one get an emergency prescription from now? Does anyone know?????
What area will it serve. Tonbridge, Southborough, Paddock Wood etc.
Where will it end?
Why can't one of the Supermarkets who are alread open until 10.00 have an emergency pharmacy. They have plenty of safe parking.
It all seems rather ridiculous.
Those doctors make so much money and it seems there's no end to there fat capitalistic profits.
They don't want to be on emergency call until midnight so why open a business on the premises.
It's all a bit dodgy if you ask me.

Loads of people in societies in Tonbridge are up themselves especially the older middle class ones. They think they are well educated and pass on intellectual snippets of information thinking that it will make them SEEM more knowleable than they really are. Some of us younger ones who are now university educated and have studied heavily in a broad spectrum of humanities can see through them and avoid all their clubs and societies. Many are not older and wiser but insular and clicky and snobs. It's full of them. Maybe you are one of them. You are not special or clever or respected but simply sneered at and a pain in the butt. Tonbridge seems to breed them not sure why????

HI MOJO'S HAD IT'S OPENING NIGHT TONIGHT AND IT WAS A GREAT START TO A NEW ADVENTURE. SECURITY ON THE DOOR, I'M SURE THE OLD UNWANTED CUSTOMERS WILL BE TOLD WHERE TO GO AND SHOWN THE DOOR BEFORE EVEN ENTERING...THE NEW MANAGERS DEFIENTLY DON'T WANT THE BAD NAME TO RETURN THEY ONLY WANT PEOPLE WHO CAN HAVE A DRINK AND STAY SOCIALABLE... GOOD LUCK MOJO'S

AM SHOCKED AT THE RACISM that is evident and blatant.

I literally do not know what to say.

How dare you refer to people as "rag heads". It's no wonder you are "ANONYMOUS" given your hatred and sad sad ideas. I pity you.
