I also agree that there is not much to draw people in to the town. However, looking on the bright side, I still believe there is a huge potential for Tonbridge to be a great place - look at some of the positives: good rail-links; good road links; great schools; the river; great recreation ground; some nice looking riverside apartments. The Tomahawk Kidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10861629190849863336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5008739840732779226.post-88425355530559066022010-04-11T16:49:18.339+01:002010-04-11T16:49:18.339+01:00You're not alone Delia, in being bored with To...You're not alone Delia, in being bored with Tonbridge. I have felt the same for a number of years now, and this feeling is always re-inforced when I return after having been away from the place.

The things that stops me moving though, are I like my house and the area it is situated in, and I also know that I can easily escape from Tonbridge, if the mood takes me.

I'm not sure what the answer is, but probably, with a few exceptions, the people of Tonnbridge are its saving grace.

pps. I went to school here, moved to London but then came back to bring up my kids here. I shop elsewhere. I socialise elsewhere. I have a coffee elsewhere. I go to Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks or a village to a restaurant. I don't do much at all here anymore. I'll probably move soon and some other hungry family for grammar schools will buy my house and then get bored with Tonbridge Too, It doesn't really have too much going for it anymore.delianoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5008739840732779226.post-43979547362592151112010-04-10T16:56:45.923+01:002010-04-10T16:56:45.923+01:00I stand corrected, Anonymous.
