any chance of filling in some of the blaas?
I expect, this being Tonbridge, it was a fat related accident. Probably some huge, sweaty, stinking 23 stoner swerved off the pavement on his disability trolley after a long evening disposing of his disability benefit in Wetherspoons. OR...just several obese, Tonbridgonians waddling out of control into the road. I've seen such vastly overweight people in this town; entire flabby families, I should think even one of the kids could easily take out a lampost if he managed to roll some distance before hitting it.
Just a thought.
PS.
We have cycle lanes. Why don't the council paint "Fat Lanes" in the highstreet? Normal people could move around a lot faster by sticking to the "Normal Lane". Tonbridge chubbies could be fined if they wandered out of their lane. The lanes for the big people could be made fairly wide to compensate for the space they take up, and for the fact they have a tendency to veer unpredictably in all directions without warning...
Fat lanes would, I'm sure prevent many potential accidents in the future, and the fines taken from the chunkies would easily pay for the scheme. So...Tonbridge Council, sort it out.
Any chance of some actual facts about this crash, TB? rather than a load of childish blaas.
Sounds like all that Cornish sea air has addled your brain!
sebfox, I seem to recall the Courier dubbing Tonbridge "Tubby Town", a few years ago. A walk down the High Street on a Saturday morning soon reveals why!
ps. After a brief flurry of activity, following his return from Cornwall, TB has been strangely quiet.
Looking at the photo made me wonder...
Does the old TSB building hold the record for the longest unoccupied building in the High Street?
No. that record is held by the boarded-up building in the high street on the corner of church lane. certainly 25 years empty. possibly longer.
There is a house in Dernier road, whose absentee owner has chosen to keep empty and neglected for nearly 30 years!

And it is because of offensive, hate fuilled abuse like this that assaults on disabled people have skyrocketed. Would you like to be crippled? I bet not so shove the attitude.
Nothing surprising about the main reasons for car accidents not just in Tonbridge but also in many states. Being a personal injury attorney, I know very well the most cause of accidents: drunk driving, DUI, negligence.. name it..
It's just frustrating, how these people afford to drive when they know they are not in the good condition.
