Great to see that Paul Bournazian of Tonrbidge Brewery seems to be doing so well. There's a piece in the Courier today about him. It just shows you that there is life after working for big corporations. Paul brews in his garage in Tudeley and, only two years on, supplies around 30 pubs. I've said it before and I'll say it again: that Coppernob in the Punch and Judy is easily the best pint in Tonbridge, in TonbridgeBlog's humble opinion. The Auburn Myth weren't half bad either. Just one issue though Paul: why no bottled versions yet? Come on then I'd be able to drink it every week at home as well. Just writing about it is getting my beer taste buds going. I can almost feel those hops and aromatic flavours dancing on my tongue!....Friday, March 2, 2012
Tonbridge Beers....

I've met Paul a couple of times, just as he was starting up. He's a really nice chap and I'm glad to see he's doing well.
As I've been off the drink for a while, I've not really had much opportunity to try Tonbridge Beers, but I've certainly read some good reports about them.
Bottling though is a whole different ball game, requiring significant investment in filling equipment etc, although I do believe Penshurst based Moodleys bottle their beers by hand.
I'm looking forward to the time when I can try Tonbridge beers for myself so I can write about them on my blog. In the meantime Paul, keep up the good work and TB, glad you've been converted to proper beer at last!!
Hi Tonbridge Blog and Paul. Thank you for your supportive comments and so pleased that the Coppernob is enjoyed.The P&J is a busy pub, well run by Stacey and therefore the beer is always fresh. Rustic has now become a regular at the Man of Kent in East Street and the Cardinal's Error are also now taking it. Coppernob also returning to the George & Dragon with another pump being added this week. As for bottling, it is partly a question of space for bottling equipment and storing the finished stock. But the biggest issue, I'm pleased to say, is that I need every pint to supply the pub demand. happy days and maybe look at expansion later this year - if the bank will lend money at a respectable rate!!!
