Mr. Books is going round the bend!

Yes Tonbridge blog has been quiet of late as some of you have picked up on. The reason for this is quite simple. You see I've been slowly going round the bend! I mean this of course quite literally. You see, in my other guise of Mr. Books I am moving from Bank Street where the shop has been for over seven years to the High Street. So I've had my work cut out what with moving about 12,000 books! It's hard graft but it'll be worth it. The new shop should be up and running by the end of May. Back to shifting books and bookcases for me and please feel free to talk among yourselves for a bit....

Congrats! Be good to have an independant book shop on the High Street. Where abouts are you moving to?

I trust you'll be holding a grand champagne opening when the big day finally arrives?

I'm not fussy. A grand beer and cheese opening will be fine....

Yes. Give us the date and I'll be there.

The window of the new shop is looking fantastic. Really imaginative and eye-catching; you've clearly got someone very creative on board. Will they be doing other windows for you?

Now we just need an independent record/cd shop to open again.

Good luck with the new High Street location!

A new chapter begins, meanwhile the original MR Books has been immortalised in our short film 'The Last Bookshop' which will be shown at festival screenings soon...
