If I'd known you were coming I'd have baked a cake!...

Lots of people looking in Mr. Books shop window at the moment. So what's all the fuss about? Well we started off with World Traveller, we've just finished with Summer of Sport and changed the display over to Baked a Cake. I say "we" but really it's all pretty much my creative director's work. (Otherwise known as the missus!) I did hold the screw driver and make the tea but she did the rest. Come and have a look at the result for yourself....

An interesting display TB, you could have sat your shop teddy on one of the chairs and made it into the "Teddy Bears' Picnic"!

Window displays are important as they acy as the tool to catch people's eye and hopefully draw them into the shop. We only had a very narrow area behind the window at the "Cask and Glass", so it wasn't really possible to have anything elaboate on display. Your window set up looks ideal though, so hope the displays are working for you.

Yes the shop front is really uplifting and a credit to the Artistic Director! The Rose and Crown opposite should take note, their frontage is quite appalling, it's outrageous that the owners have allowed the place to get into such a mess. (And putting up Christmas Trees 75 days early will not hide the missing Lion and Unicorn! Where are they these days)? However very nice to see a fresh contributor Sarah. Best wishes to you.
