Christmas lights look stunning....

Yes and I almost forgot to mention the Christmas lights in Tonbridge. Thanks to the comment by 'Outraged' for reminding me. The lights do look absolutely lovely; they're not at all tacky as so many are but instead they're really rather tasteful. I love the ones along River Walk especially as they make great use of the riverside. From the town bridge at night they look quite stunning as they illuminate the river. So, a big well done to Tonbridge and Malling Council (one assumes) Look at me I'm doing it again, praising the council, being positive about the town. It didn't even hurt me as well! Photos to follow at some point....

Yes the Christams lights do look attractive, and the council managed to put on a good show last Sunday. I missed the actual switching on of the lights, but had a ringside view of the fireworks, from the River Walk. They certainly were spectacular, and provided a fitting finale to the afternoon's celebrations. I would therefore like to join in and add my congatulations to all involved with last week's highly successful event.

They would be stunning along river walk if the lights were actually working both sides of the river. Only the lights along the Wethersoons side are working. The tree would look nice to if it were'nt for that orrible scaffolding and the bloody great cctv van parked right next to it.

Steady Sebfox, don't get negative on here, Susan Adams and her jolly TT Aliens monitor every word. A clunk around the back of your head with a handbag will announce her presence!

If I even had an inkling who Susan Adams is, I'de pop round and offer the back of my head for a clunking.
I expect it's just a small technical hitch like a blown bulb or something...That being the case, another ten grand should cover the cost: 1 cherry picker; a team of crack, green jacketed bulb changers with skid lids; fifty tonnes of scaffolding; a ladder; safety harnesses; a bunch of health and safety overseer goons;Highstreet closure for two days whilst bulb changing is performed, (for health and safety reasons); a team of health and safety overseer overseers (to oversee the other overseers).
Should be as simple as that.
