Has Tonbridge blog shot its bolt??

I know that the site hasn't exactly been overactive of late but has Tonbridgeblog shot its bolt quite yet? Probably not. Just looking to be inspired by some juicy local story....

Must be the change in weather? It’s turned cold; hardly surprising as it’s already mid-October, but it’s still come as a bit of a shock!

I’ve also gone off the boil and find myself looking for inspiration for my next blog post, but apart from the weather, my excuse is that I’ve been busy sourcing and buying the beers for the Spa Valley Railway Beer Festival, which takes place this weekend.

In an un-ashamed plug for the event, there will be nearly 90 real ales, plus 20 ciders and perries on sale, at the Old West Station in Tunbridge Wells, and also further down the line at both Groombridge and Eridge. Beers will also be available on the trains which will be running between these stations.

There is bound to be a beer or cider to suit everyone, so why not pop over and see for yourselves? You can buy a day ticket and ride up and down the line all day, or alternatively just base yourself at Tunbridge Wells (free admission), where the majority of the beers are to be found.

Live entertainment, Goth Morris men (and women), food, so what’s not to like? Hope to see some of you over the course of the weekend.

Blacked up Morris Men. CAMRA is so progressive.

Not our call, anonymous. The entertainment has been organised by the SVR.
