Some interest in Mr. Books but time is running out!...

Nice piece in the Courier last Friday with one of my favourite photos of me of all time I think. The snapper did a great job in capturing me, surrounded by books. Almost as if he was reaching into my very soul (surely that's going too far... don't you mean sole? Ed.) Lovely comments by our MP, Tom Tugenhat as well. I must give him that tenner!

It took us three months to find a buyer for the Cask & Glass and then a further six months before all the legalities were concluded, and the sale complete. Even if you find a suitable buyer tomorrow, you will be pushing it to complete a sale by June.

Interesting photo; but forgive me for saying the moustache makes you look rather Teutonic, with more than a passing resemblance to Kaiser Wilhelm II.

So welcome to the Dragon's Den.
You have told us your turnover is £50,000 and overheads are £14,000 p.a.
You have sold 60,000 books over 12 years so we assume you must be selling about 5,000 or 6,000 p.a. And you have told us your stock of 9,000 books is worth £35,000 to £45,000.
So the cost of 6,000 books is between £25,000 to £30,000.
Looks like you don't make a lot from the business.
So its not for us its more of a labour of love.
Good luck with your next hobby/venture.

Anon. You seem to have it all worked out. So, by the sound of it, I'm ooot!...

PB you're most probably right although I do have quite a few irons in the fire. And who needs lawyers anyway!...
