What other events can we look forward to this summer? Slade School's summer fete is always one not to miss in the centre of town. Then there's the Tonbridge Summer carnival and festival, Dragon boats I'm told will be back complete with music from Haiwai 5-0 (Why??!) I think the SIBA Beer and Cider Festival will be coming back again in July. There's another weekend of musical delights at the Castle and there's sure to be lots more. Post them below....

Wow!! Slade School's summer fete sounds really interesting. But dear I am going to attend the summer special NY events and already booked the tickets for those events. So I can’t attend Slade School's summer fete.
So tell us Steve where and when in Tonbridge are the NY events taking place? Or are you just doing a bit of self promotion that is of no interest to the readers of Tonbridge blog?
Would imagine NY events is some sort of spammer. Should I delete the comment do you think??
Yes delete the chancer unless of course he has donated a £100 to you!
Mind you TJ is also doing a bit of self promotion but at least its local although I am not sure how it benefits the local economy.
I too am looking forward to the SIBA South East Beer Festival at Tonbridge Juddians in July. This weekend though sees Tonbridge Angels Football Club putting on their own beer festival, called Angelfest, at their Darenth Road ground.
Around 40 different ales, ciders plus, for the brave or fool-hardy, a range of Belgian beers (normally nothing much under 6% ABV!). Live music as well, featuring a host of local singers and bands. What’s not to like?
Independent Bookshop Week 20-27 June.
