Pursued by Bishops....

Bishop James Langstaff, The Bishop of Rochester, paid Slade Primary School a rare visit earlier this week. TonbridgeBlog is reliably informed that he took the assembly, told the children about Advent and enjoyed a sneak preview of the Nativity play.....
Bishop James (back row) standing with the children and staff at Slade last Monday. Who's the lad with the cool shades?!

Must be a slow news day? Oh no, wait a minute, severe storms have been battering the country and Nelson Mandela has just died!

Then there's all those shop openings and closures in the town to report.
Another tea/coffee shop another one or two pound xxx shops. Cant see any of the so called quality retailers ever coming to the town.

Guys you are cynics sometimes. First of all I wrote this before Nelson Mandela's passing away and secondly, it's not really a local story is it? I think the constant coverage by BBC, Sky and the other national and international media is more than making up for lack of column inches on TonbridgeBlog....
