I see that Retro 66 Barbers at the North end of the High Street in Tonbridge is no more. I hasten to add that it hasn't actually closed but merely changed its name to Retro Blue. They have had a paint job inside and a new shop sign erected with Union Jacks replacing the Modish targets. It all looks very nice and fresh but what was the point of all that then? I'll leave you all to ponder on that one as I don't want to start wicked whispers....

yes tb i think u have all ready said to much, just keep your nose out you like spreading rumors about other shops in the town dont you! remember you nasty rumor about bishops closing!
I think you'll find that TonbridgeBlog has set the record straight on Bishops the greengrocers. By the way, and here's a little secret for you, TonbridgeBlog isn't necessarily always the same person!!
Its still the same Retro just with a bit of a face lift. You'll still get the best hair cut in town!
Well lets put it strait. I have spend two and a half years building Retro66 for the community only to find that they have been let down and disappointed by the name changed and by the manner it was taken. I will say this and say it only once. Retro was stolen by a technicality of a lease sign but don't worry as Retro66 will be opening shortly. Sorry for the delay! Thank you for all your support and your phone calls and cards! See you all very very soon!
Address will be forwarded to this Blog and on-line. Please don't forget the charity's and the football clubs that you have helped they still need your support! Still buy the books from Mr Books.
To the surposed former owner of Retro 66. Everyone knows the truth and we are all waiting till you open your shop so we can come and collect our money. Do keep in touch as there are a fair few of us who want to know where you are. see you soon i hope.
I think the change is fab. well done Retro Blue you guys and girls are awesome I love the new kitchen and downstairs is looking great (shannon gave me a sneak preview)you have all worked so hard and the atmosphere is calm and welcoming. Keep up the good work. I will never take my children anywhere else.
I personally think its an improvement with the new sign and changes to the interior, same great service and value for money. I am sorry to here about your technicality but I don't think its relevant to the people of the Town or Blog.
I wish you all the best for the future and keep us updated with the news.
Whats all the fuss about ? I think the new sign looks super and its got the union jack in it. Genius man and that lot in there are really cool-they got my vote. . . . nobody cares that some guy left he used to shout alot at everyone anyway. BIG UP RETROBLUE

Heya. Sorry to hear you re still bitter. I do feel for you as your own delusion has hurt you big time. Unfortunately your own delusion has in turn allowed you to delude others, and it's a human duty to warn other humans of people like yourself.
If I could warn you from yourself, I would but you won't see or hear it.
Let me try and kill two birds with one stone by explaining a little to you and the people of tonbridge some of the points you raised.
1. ' Stolen on a technicality.... ' - simply not true. What more can I say. And without saying too much, I'm not sure If you should be getting yourself into arguments about stealing! Remember?
2. ' Please don't forget the charities .......' - remember? Do you? ( See point 1). The charities will do just fine on their own I suspect.
3.' Still buy books from Mr.Books.....' - the only sensible thing you wrote. Bravo. I agree.
Hey I agree with t0n8ridg3, I went a few weeks ago for a hair cut and I think the new decor is much better especially the new caricature on the wall, I like that, brilliant artist. I don't think any one has been disappointed by the freshen up as 'Retro66' seems to think. I shall still be going in as will everyone else I'm sure. Such a shame some people can't just get on with their lives eh?!
Hi people of Tonbridge, I have been in all the Barbers of Tonbridge, none of them have the welcoming atmosphere and competent, friendly staff that the improved Retro Blue has. The old format and staff make up just didn't quite work but since recent departures things couldn't be better. Sign and décor fab and I foresee the downstairs being even better.I love it and wont be going anywhere else. Except no imitations .
