Is Sir John Stanley squeaky clean??..
I couldn't help but notice during the politicians expenses scandal that information about Sir John Stanley's expenses claims was noticeable in it's absence. Does this mean our long-standing erstwhile MP is squeaky clean? Or could it be that the Daily Telegraph still has more dirt to dig? We'd like to think it's the former wouldn't we? Come on Sir John, if you're out there, speak up and tell us all where you stand....

There was a list of MPs on the BBC website, but can't remember if he was on it.

Yes. I have been curious too. He has claimed close to the maximum for his 2nd home allowance, including (according to the telegraph)'food'. But no details yet.We will see what we are paying for when everything is published in July.
Yes I believe there could be a revelation or a revolution or a revulsion. We'll find out next month. If you need anything done now is the time to contact him.

I will say about 10 years ago he was able to sort out KCC when my grandaughter was bullied at junior school and ended up in hospital for 10 months.
You may be interested to learn that local Tonbridge KCC councilor Horne claimed NO EXPENSES just the basic allowance. Unlike most other KCC councilors.
Indeed I am interested to learn that. In fact it hadn't even occurred to me that there are probably whole armies of local politicians all busily over claiming on their expenses as well as the Westminster lot. Blimey this could run and run! Then there's that over-paid and largely useless lot in Brussels/Stasbourg etc. Apparently the MPs expenses scandal is a drop in the ocean compared with their's. Why should any of us care? I guess because it's our money they're blowing!...
KCC councilors do ok, thank you KCC Taxpayers.
