Tunbridge Wells is 400 years, well wow....

Here was another one in the eye for the upstart daughter town in the early days of Tonbridge Blog:

Tunbridge Wells celebrates its 400 year anniversary this year, you just might have caught that in the local newspapers! Well woopee! Tonbridge is at the very least 2,000 years old, has had a Castle for at least 1,200 years, if you count the Saxon one which was there before the present one. It has an old town which is steeped in history, a thousand year old parish church and a really nice river running through it which must be at least a million years old!....Just thought I'd mention it....

2009 is out 100th year of being Royal. Actually I am rather jealous you get a castle, I'd love a castle :( Can we borrow yours?

Come on Anke get with the programme! This aricle was posted a couple of years ago, these are just the highlights of the old Tonbridge Blog before it is totally transferred over to Google blogger technology. Are you with it now? You can't have the castle and even if you could you'd never have a decent river, just those pathetic underground springs with metalic tasting "health giving" murky water!...

Ahhh, I see, that would explain it. I did wonder why. :)
