Christmas markets in Tonbridge...

Did anyone go to the Christmas market down on River Lawn today? I passed it this morning and it was looking a bit sorry for its self. Why isn't there someone, anyone in the town with enough vision to organise a proper one, say, on the Castle Lawn in a marquee, or a German style one on the Park. I feel sorry for some of the traders who turn up to keep giving Tonbridge markets a go; surely we should be able to hold a decent farmers' style market at Christmas with more than a handful of stalls. Shipbourne farmers market has more stalls every Thursday morning than this paltry (or is that poultry) effort. Here's hoping the rain and winds hold off for tomorrow's extravaganza Christmas lights switch on....
