Tonbridge and Malling Council respond to More Flowers in High Street campaign....

They have listened to reason, they aren't just distant cold fishes tangled up in bureaucratic red tape! Those lovely people at King's Hill, in response to Tonbridge blog's campaign to bring more flowers to the High Street in time for the forth coming visit from the pointy heads Tour de France competitors, have now added large plastic flower boxes on top of most of the street barriers in the southern half of town. This in addition to the hanging baskets mentioned a week or so ago. (They will probably say that they were doing it anyway, but that's something we'll never know for sure!) It's not going to win any Kent in Bloom prizes, but it's an improvement....
